Everything starts with a why. Our why begins with a quest for the perfect night sleep.
After all, one can easily relate to how we feel after inadequate rest. Lethargic, lack of energy, and simply wishing we could fast forward to night time- where we can hopefully rest deeply, sleep peacefully and dream sweetly.
So that drives us. We thought long and hard on what determine a good night rest. A suitable mattress, comfortable pillows etc. While important it also dawn on us that the closest touch-point to us physically was the actual pillowcases. This is a pretty intimate relationship, where our face will touch it every time we sleep. A quick research shows how dirt and oil can build up unknowingly, possible allergic reactions to name a few.
This led us to the discovery of using 100% pure mulberry silk, using the highest quality and grade of silk; 6A. There is less friction and drying on skin/hair and also very comfortable to sleep on.
Hence Astrid was born. A Scandinavian name that means "divinely beautiful." We hope everyone could achieve a beautiful night rest.
